![]() ![]() 引用自 Danksama:Rap has had a negative impact on black societyĪctually, white people taught black people how to R.A.P to express themselves at an emotional level. It's just really catchy, and Meech and Danny have a lot of energy and personality.Īnd here's a song that contains the usual tropes of drugs and sex but also covers how those are part of a destructive lifestyle used to cope with conditions of living in Detroit. Like I love this FBZ song even though it's literally just about doing a ton of drugs. Seriously, the dude had the same generic rock delivery.īut yeah, I can enjoy some simple party songs or hype songs if they're really catchy and have good energy, and if the lines are at least competent enough that nothing particularly bad lines stick out. Lil Peep's music was like the trap version of Nickelback. I have nothing against the dude personally but his music has somehow managed to both be incredibly dull and incredibly grating. Lil Xan is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying and boring at the same time. Also it's pretty obvious that he just uses really loud bass to drown out his weak lines. I like aggressive rap, but the dude always sounds like he's trying way too hard to seem tough. The "I'm sad and angry with emphasis on the angry" songs and the "I'm sad and angry with emphasis on the sad" songs. XXXdomesticabuse makes basically two kinds of songs. Like the idea behind having a super repetitive chorus would be to make it catchy, and it does work to a degree, but it's not enough to make me want to go and listen to Gucci Gang. I'm not really a fan of Lil Pump, but it's more because his delivery or performance isn't engaging to me. Nothing inherently wrong with music that isn't that deep or meaningful, or music that is about drugs or sex. So, if someone wants to help me understand the true meaning behind these artists, their music, and their image, please comment below! I love cursing in music just as much as the next guy, but not every line.Īs a side note, what's with the names?! Is throwing 'lil' or 'yung' in front of a random word the name that you want people to refer to you by? Not that Green Day had great music for kids way back when, but today the most common phrase in rap that I have heard is "I f**k a b***h" or something else about drugs or sex or money or disrespect. Points to XXX, who can't keep his d*** in his pants.Īlso, I want to point out that the majority of listeners to this music is not adults it's kids. "D Rose D Rose D Rose D Rose D Rose D Rose D Rose D Rose" I don't see the point of even writing a song if the lyrics are going to be (literally): Now, I do like some of the songs by Post Malone, and artists who really pour their heart and soul into making sure that the lyrics are original and have meaning behind the words. To me, there really isn't any originality in the music, if I can put it bluntly. Today, all you need to make rap is a good drum and kick, maybe bass, and a voice mod. The first thing I noticed was the difference in the beats. ![]() I have also been getting into classic rap: B.I.G, Puff Daddy and the like. Peep)Īs a fyi, I mainly listen to 2k, alt rock, and indie, and sometimes EDM. ![]() It's not just the lyrics, either these guys literally promote smoking as much dope as humanly possible, even if it kills you (cough cough Mr. The lyrics are always (give or take a select few songs) about drugs, money, sex, or depression. I don't really understand the appeal of it, though. Artists like Lil Pump, XXX TEN and Lil Zan. This guy at my work is always playing rap music. It's more of a personal vent to see how many people agree/disagree with me, and for me to maybe get a better understanding of the genre. Before I rant, this is NOT a thread dissing rap music. ![]()
